Manistee R. Michigan.

My name is Tony Young and welcome to my web site.

I make here in Australia AV Young Fly Rods split bamboo flyrods as well as reel seats and ferrules of Nickel Aluminium Bronze in Swiss Style, Truncated Swiss, Micro, Stepdown and Dickerson/Payne Stepdowns in a full range of sizes.
I also do customization on request.

A 10% discount is applied to all orders of $350 and over.

Tony Young's rod fittings are spectacular and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for the best! The nickel aluminum bronze takes bluing very easily but the color of the material has such a nice light hint of gold that it doesn't seem right to cover it up with a bluing or blackening process. Pictures do not capture the color of the nickel aluminum bronze correctly or do the fittings justice. The craftsmanship, fit and finish of the ferrules are second to none. On top of all this Tony is a great guy to deal with and his service is top notch.

Reel Seats.

Screw style and Cap & Ring as well as Sliding Bands.

Selected reel making components.

Brass reel foot, SS gear and pawls.

Silk Fly Lines.

I am also offering for sale Terenzio's superb silk fly lines.

I've personaly used Terenzio's silk fly lines for many years now and find them ideal for all manner of fly fishing for trout.
Many people get hung up on the tradition of silk thinking it is the main reason to use it but in fact the reasons for using a silk line are reasons of presentation, wind cutting ability, floating properties and longivity but there's more on silk fly lines here.

Bee Nucs.

I'm currently taking orders for bee nucs with expected delivery starting in September.
These are always a little bit limited so let me know your needs so you don't miss out.
Selling for $285 for a 5 frame nuc with a laying queen, brood and stores.
All nucs are at least 28 days old.
